Moutai at Bar of the Year Awards 2022

Since 2005, Bar of the Year Awards have celebrated the amazing talent and hard work that goes into the country’s drinks scene.  This year, Moutai has sponsored the ‘Innovation Bar of the Year’ award to encourage recognition of the most innovative contributions and developments in the licensing industry.

The Awards culminated on 22 August, with over 500 industry elites gathered in an award banquet ceremony held at Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.  Guests kicked off the evening with ‘Tasting Village’ featuring over 20 pop-up bars, offering different types of drinks for tasting.  We have invited the winner of Moutai Cocktail Competition 2022 – Naomi Browne, as our guest bartender to showcase her excellent mixology skills and to present Moutai cocktails ‘Blossom Dreams’ and ‘Lychee Moutini’ for the guests to enjoy.  Moutai Flying Fairy and Moutai Prince were also being featured and we are so happy to see that many guests were pleasantly surprised by the Moutai special trait of silky taste and citrus flavour.

The night was filled with fun and good vibes with live entertainment by Blue and Romantics, also having Alan Shortt as MC of the event.  All in all, it creates a memorable evening for all the participants, especially for those who have put in a lot of effort in the contribution of vibrant developments in the industry.

It is our honour to sponsor the ‘Innovative Bar of the Year’ award which shows recognition for those movers and shakers who continue to inspire the bar trade, representing establishments that go above and beyond the call of duty and push the boundaries of today's drinking trends and cultures.  Congratulations to the ‘Innovative Bar of the Year’ Bronze Winner ‘Andy’s Bar’, Silver Winner ‘Rare 1784’, and of course Gold Winner ‘Bar 1661’!  It comes as no surprise that Bar 1661 is also the winner of ‘Bar of the Year’ award!
